A CHESTER primary school has arranged for a ‘healthy’ bus to be made available to ensure a safe journey to lessons for pupils.
Acresfield Primary School in Acres Lane, Upton, has decided to use the National Walk to School Week initiative to launch a new walking bus.
Headteacher Mike Dixon said: “It has been really successful. Each morning around 50 children have met at our specially designed ‘Walk to School’ bus stop.
“We are delighted with the response from the pupils and parents and hope that the children continue to go the extra mile.”
