WIRRAL-BASED accident repair network Howard Basford has teamed up with the Hospice of the Good Shepherd to help raise money for the organisation that cares for and supports more than 1,000 local people of all ages every year.

The firm donated a luxury hamper to be raffled off to raise funds to support the excellent work the Backford-based charity does.

Tracy Howard, chairman of Howard Basford, said: “The Hospice of the Good Shepherd is a local charity close to my heart having had a close relative greatly benefit from the respite service the hospice offers.

“The team at Howard Basford, wanted to do something to help support the great work that the hospice does.

“We believe it is important for us, as a local company. to do our bit to support the community and we look forward to working further with the team at the hospice as the year progresses.”

Amanda Le-Bretton, fundraising and marketing manager at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have the support of Howard Basford and the hamper we have received will be raffled to raise much needed funds for our centre of excellence in Backford.

“We are really looking forward to working with Tracy and his team during 2013.”

The Hospice of the Good Shepherd helps to improve the quality of life for those living with any incurable illness and gives support to families, friends and carers.

Its aim is to enable people who are referred to maintain their dignity and ensure they have the best quality of life possible.
