There are reports of a three-vehicle accident on the westbound carriageway of the M56 near Runcorn.

BBC Travel said at about 6.20pm today (Thursday, June 11) that there was 'very slow traffic' in the area with congestion back to junction 11 at Preston Brook.

The BBC describes the incident as 'medium' in terms of severity.
