ABBEY Gate College was invited to the Independent Schools Association National Under 18s Rugby Sevens tournament.
The team faced tough competition along the way, but managed to claw their way through to the final of the competiton against Claire’s Court school from Maidenhead and gain the runners-up spot.
This is a fantastic achievement for the young squad who will be eligible to play in the tournament again next year.
Their success mirrors the development of rugby in the college over the last two years, which goes from strength to strength across all age groups.
