MUSICIANS at Abbey Gate College hit the right notes in an annual competition.
Pupils from Year 7 to sixth form competed in The Margaret Caven Music Festival which was judged by the composer and choral conductor Patrick Larley.
There were 93 entries in the woodwind, brass, piano and strings classes as well as ensembles and choirs.
Peter Edge (vocal) won the top award for Best Performer of the Day. Other winners were Thomas Coxhead (brass), Nicholas Bradley (woodwind and piano) and Charles Holt (strings).
