A PENSIONER is being treated for chest pains after a car accident near Delamere this morning.

At just after 7.10 am on Tuesday (May 8) emergency services were called to the A556 outside the Abbey Arms in Delamere after reports that two cars had collided.

When they arrived police found that a blue Honda Jazz and green Lexus had collided.

A 66-year-old woman and 48-year-old man were taken to hospital to receive treatment for chest pains.

The road has been blocked for more than an hour after police closed the road to remove the debris.
