ENOUGH heroin and crack cocaine to sell in more than 90 street deals was seized following a major drugs bust in Weaverham.

Northwich police Community Action Team officers working with CID found the substances at an address in Briar Lane on Friday, along with £435 in cash and other drugs paraphernalia.

Cheryl Jacqueline Bernadette Stevenson, 35, was arrested during the raid on her home and admitted possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply heroin, and supplying crack cocaine and heroin when she appeared before Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday. She has been remanded in custody until January 10, when she will face sentencing at Chester Crown Court.

Sgt Paul Beauchamp said: 'This case should send out a clear message to offenders in the drugs network that we are watching you and we will catch you. We won't stop until we're confident we've rid the streets of drugs.'

In total, 92 bags of heroin and crack cocaine were seized, with an estimated street value £920.

The warrant was executed following months of investigations as part of the follow up to Operation Clean Sweep, the major initiative targeted drug dealers in Vale Royal.

Sgt Beauchamp added: 'We've had lots of success in combating drugs. A crack house has been closed down, various offenders have been sent to jail and many have been made the subjects of Anti-social Behaviour Orders.

'Members of the public are proving to be a vital element of Operation Clean Sweep.'
