MEMBERS of the public are invited to offer their views on West Cheshire College’s £70m vision of the future.

Computer-generated images have been released showing the science and technology campus set to replace the further education college’s Handbridge base in 2010, on exactly the same site.

Plans for the new Chester centre – which is about half the size of the current building – will be submitted next month along with a proposed extension at the Ellesmere Port campus.

And this Tuesday, people in the community can view the plans and talk to senior college managers at a day-long event at the Handbridge centre.

College principal Sara Mogel said: “Our aim in redeveloping our Handbridge campus is to make Chester the leader in the field of scientific and technological education and training.

“This will be a major investment in learning in Chester and we hope it will get the full support of the community we serve.”
