A LAW firm has been treating Chester businesswomen to a stylish evening of shopping, champagne and canapés at a designer store.

Walker Smith Way, based on Nicholas Street, took over The White Company shop in Northgate Street for the invitation-only event.

The 70 guests had the chance to view the Christmas designer range while making new business contacts.

The firm’s marketing team and their colleagues played the hosts and the store’s shopping advisers were on hand to talk through the collections.

Guests later departed laden with goody bags and cupcakes, having tried their luck in Walker Smith Way’s jewellery box game ‘Be Dazzled’. Winner Lorna Gwilliam, a manager at Shrewsbury-based commercial property company Pooks, won a hamper of treats donated by The White Company.

Holly Nelson, Walker Smith Way’s marketing manager, said: “The event provided a fantastic networking opportunity for Chester’s thriving community of women in business, and the private shopping experience was great, enabling us to buy some lovely gifts in time for Christmas.”
