A Tarporley based company was in the saddle for the Tour de France in Yorkshire on the weekend.

Jigsaw Medical Services provided a 200-strong medical team of paramedics, nurses and doctors for the Grand Départ 2014.

The TDF is the world’s largest single sporting event and its Yorkshire event attracted more than three million people to the region throughout the Grand Depart.

Managing director Chris Percival said: "We are pleased to have been selected to provide a large proportion of the medical cover at this historical and high-profile event. We put in place an experienced team to manage this huge project and deliver exceptional care during this very busy weekend for Yorkshire.”
