SALES of revealing boudoir outfits and sexy party costumes are soaring, despite the worst recession in decades, according to Gordon Pearson, MD of Tarporley-based Sparkling Strawberry, suppliers of fun and fantasy wear.
He said: “We’ve followed the reports of the challenges facing the economy like every other business and we’ve been waiting for trade to slow down, but the orders just keep coming in. As the economy worsens we just seem to get busier.
“We have also noticed a significant increase in new customers who search us out on the internet and order outfits, regardless of the tough economic conditions.
“From bunny girl outfits to naughty nurse uniforms, dressing up has never been as popular as it is now.”
