FOOTBALL mad brothers John and Mark Cadwallader have opened a specialist boutique sports shop in Chester city centre.

Former Chester City FC player Mark and John have kicked off their new business venture on Rufus Court, off Foregate Street.

Football Bootique specialises in providing high-end merchandise for teams and individuals, including three ranges of hand-made football boots.

Mark, who currently plays for Airbus UK Broughton, says the shop will cater for those in football who want specialist training and playing kit rather than the typical high-street range.

He said: “We really are a specialist shop that kits out teams with merchandise from the higher end of the market. We have a goalkeeper’s department and a full-range of training gear.

“John has more than 10 years’ retail experience whereas I’m still involved in playing and know what a football player wants.

“I used to play for Chester City under Mark Wright and so it’s great to be able to keep the Chester link going with this business.”

The Cadwallader brothers are planning an official opening ceremony soon with Premiership star Danny Murphy and Chester City keeper John Danby among special guests lined up to cut the ribbon.
