SALTNEY’S new Morrisons supermarket is taking shape and work remains on course to be completed in time for the store’s opening in September.
Builders have been busy on the 6,100sq m site, located just off the High Street, working to ensure the town will have a Morrisons store for the first time since its previous River Lane site closed in 2006.
Saltney Stonebridge councillor, Veronica Gay, deputy mayor for the town, said: “The work is getting on really well and is starting to take shape – it’s all go-go-go!
“There are no big issues surrounding the construction either, and the workers are still on target for September.”
