A commerical property company is celebrating 45 years of business in Chester with coffee and cake.

Brymau Estates in Saltney will host the afternoon to celebrate its establishment in 1971, when founder Bryan Frost began developing on what was Old River Lane in Saltney, regenerating Spencers Scrap Yard and Cluttons Slaughter House into commercial business units.

The firm has since invested millions of pounds into the Saltney area to establish a business hub for local SME’s in the Chester area.

Ranging from single office suites to large industrial units, Brymau Estates now house more than 130 Chester and North Wales companies.

Tenants range from national manufacturers English Provender and Somac to engineering services company Quest, from auctioneers and valuers Byrnes of Chester to adventure challenge group, Global Adventures.

This month (May) marks the 45th year since Brymau Estates was first established, and also marks 25 years since the opening of their largest business centre, Red Hill House, which was officially opened by the Duke of Westminster in 1991.

Owner and director Denise Lamont said: “It’s a real honour to see the business that my father established all these years ago, going from strength to strength in its 45th year.

“Over the years, we’ve grown from just a few small units to an estate of over 70 industrial units and over 90 offices, serving over 130 local businesses.

“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us along the way, and a special thank you to the thriving network of local SME’s that choose to call Brymau Estates their business home.”

The coffee and cake afternoon will be held on Wednesday, May 25 at Red Hill House on Hope Street, Saltney, from 1-4pm.
