It is fast approaching the main fundraising event of Chester Business Club’s year, the summer charity ball at The Pavilion, Chester Racecourse , on Saturday, June 21.

The ball committee has been beavering away behind the scenes to ensure this year’s event will be a truly spectacular occasion. The theme this year is loosely based on the Goodwood Revival style and the ball is called The CBC Summer Charity Revival Ball.

Although dress code will remain black tie for men and ‘fabulous’ for ladies, the club is encouraging those who wish to ‘rev’ up the fun element a bit to add a touch of vintage to their attire. Ball attendees may chose to add a subtle twist or two with hair style, makeup, pearls or pocket watches, or may chose to go the whole hog and come bedecked in vintage attire.

The main sponsors for this year’s event are Mitchell Group and as such many auction prizes have been based around the theme of transportation. Guests with special vintage modes of transport will be invited to arrive in their vehicles and there are a few fabulous surprises for photo opportunities.

The evening will start with a champagne reception and jazz band followed by a four-course meal including a complimentary bottle of port for each table with the cheese board and a blues saxophonist playing throughout dinner.

The post-dinner entertainment will feature a fantastic BeeGees Disco Night Fever followed by disco-dancing into the early hours.

To encourage people to gather friends and family and book a table there is a fantastic incentive with a magnum of champagne. Each person booking a table of eight or more will be entered  into a prize draw and one lucky table will win this to share among their guests on the night.

The cost is £60 per head and not only will ball goers have an evening to remember but will also be doing their bit to raise much-needed funds for the chosen charities which include The Street Pastors, Young Carers and The Babygrow Appeal.
