CHESTER-based recruitment company Advance Search & Selection is bucking the current economic downturn by expanding its operations and employing three new staff.

The consultancy, which specialises in sourcing candidates and job vacancies to support both the print and packaging and food and drink sectors, has appointed Daisy Guy, Jenny Sullivan and Sara Frith to strengthen its team.

Founded by managing director James Griffiths in 2003, the company employs 11 staff and is expanding into new markets, namely food and drink.

James said: “We have grown significantly over the past seven years after recognising a niche in recruitment within certain industries. It has been an exciting period of development and we’re delighted to welcome Daisy, Jenny and Sara to the team.

“We believe print and packaging continues to be a profitable industry for us and one that will survive the downturn. We’re looking at plenty of other opportunities for our business.”
