FOR three years Victoria Shone, business centre manager of Chester based company Obsidian Group, has been waiting for the 'new arrival' to the firm to land on her doorstep.
Victoria has worked with June Pickett of Easy Crystals, in locating what is thought to be one of the largest pieces of obsidian in the country.
The large piece of volcanic glass began its journey from a mine in Mexico, was shipped in Colorado and finally, has completed its journey and will take pride of place in the main reception area of Obsidian Offices.
Victoria said: “When we re-launched our company in 2005 with the Obsidian brand, the team thought it would be wonderful to create a focal point of interest in the offices with the largest piece they could locate. There has been drama along the way and at one point, when the pieces were breaking as they came out of the mine, we really didn’t think this day would arrive.”
