Multi-disciplinary consulting engineers Patrick Parsons has strengthened its management team to meet growing demand for its mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering services.

The firm, which has offices in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Birmingham, Glasgow, Huddersfield, Chester, London and Dubai, has appointed John Joyce to the newly created role of building services director based at its Chester office.

John, who is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers, brings more than 30 years’ experience in building services, previously working for a number of high-profile engineering companies across the UK.

He will head up the M&E team and has ambitious plans to double its size by 2015.

John said: “When the opportunity came up to join Patrick Parsons I jumped at the chance. It’s a forward looking company which is currently involved in many exciting projects across the UK and internationally.

“I’m looking forward to growing the M&E team and contributing to the company’s ongoing success.”
