A flexible programme to help business professionals take a step up the career ladder is being launched at the University of Chester’s Warrington campus.

The part-time Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) will be delivered at the Campus’ state-of-the-art Business Centre, which boasts the latest facilities within a contemporary and professional environment.

Professor of Leadership and Management, Caroline Rowland, said: “This Masters qualification will appeal to managers and those wishing to boost their management careers with the knowledge and capability to think strategically, as well as the softer skills needed to succeed as a leader of people and change.

“The strong links the University has with world class private and public sector organisations inform the curriculum design and development of the MBA programme to meet the global challenges of the 21st century business environment.”

Delivered over two years, the MBA will be taught in four blocks of four days each year, together with independent study, which involves research, personal investigation and completion of tutor directed tasks.

Professor Rowland added: “The new Business Centre is an ideal venue for the programme, as it is close to main transport links, making it accessible to anyone living in the North West region.

“Tailor-made for busy professionals who need to fit their study around their work, the MBA also applies theoretical knowledge to practical workplace situations.”

The programme, which starts in September, is available to those with a degree or equivalent qualification, or those who have relevant experience in a managerial position.
