FOR the vast majority of horse-racing enthusiasts, owning their own racehorse is something they can only dream about.

Not any longer though, as recently-launched Halkyn and Peckforton-based Rob Lloyd Racing is to make it possible for enthusiasts to at least own part of one.

The go-ahead company has launched an associated venture – Rob Lloyd Racing Syndication Ltd.

The new venture is headed by Jason Lloyd, son of multi-millionaire property developer Rob Lloyd, chief executive of Mold-based Eatonfield Group plc, who has been appointed as managing director.

The new company is also being endorsed by broadcaster, Mike Cattermole of Channel 4 Racing and At The Races, who will take on a consultancy role within Rob Lloyd Racing Syndication Ltd.

Commenting about his latest venture Rob said: “I always dreamed of owning my own racehorse and now I’ve realised that dream, I want other racing enthusiasts to have that chance as well, and at a price they can afford, hence the launch of the new company.

“I am also delighted Mike Cattermole has joined our team. Mike is very highly regarded within the racing industry and having him on board will provide the new company with a huge boost and is sure to be a big attraction to people investing in the venture.”

Mike Cattermole, said: “I am delighted to be part of Rob Lloyd Racing Syndication, a new and exciting racing syndicate run by a young and dynamic team.

“Our aim is not only to provide an exciting opportunity for people already involved in racing but also to attract newcomers to the sport.”
