DIRECTORS of a family business in Mouldsworth are suggesting people could save money by switching to cheaper and greener light bulbs.
Convertabulb Limited supplies LED lighting products that are not only more energy efficient but also kinder to the environment.
The company’s LED bulbs fit all types of light fittings and create the same level of lighting as traditional bulbs while using only a fraction of the energy.
According to director Samuel Shaw, who runs the business with his dad Daniel, one of the company’s LED bulbs can give off the same amount of light but run off 3.5 watts, compared to a 50-watt incandescent light bulb.
He said: “With the EU deciding to impose a ban on 60 and 100 watt incandescent light bulbs as part of its drive to protect the environment, people must now choose between LED and CFL (compact fluorescent) bulbs.
