A MERGER has given an Ellesmere Port recruitment firm 16 branches throughout the UK.

Total Staff Services UK Limited was formed in Ellesmere Port in 2003 by managing director Colin Pendergast.

Since 2008 the company has grown into a multi-million-pound turnover business.

Earlier in 2010 Total Staff launched two more branches in Liverpool and Manchester followed by a fourth branch in Wrexham Industrial Estate in September.

On December 9, Mr Pendergast decided to merge Total Staff Services with Opera Recruitment, creating a network of 16 branches throughout the UK almost overnight.

Nikki Golding, operations manager, said: “We are very proud of our achievements and this merger is a result of the hard work and efforts of our team. Our business has grown by more than 300% in the last year alone and the team has quite often worked from 6am to midnight to ensure our Clients requirements are met.

“We would not have achieved this without the support of our clients and temporary workforce and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone and wish you all a very happy Christmas and new year.”

Operating within the industrial, transport, commercial and executive sectors supplying both temporary and permanent staff, the company is dedicated to earning the trust and loyalty of their candidates, clients and communities in which they operate.

Mr Pendergast said: “Total Staff Services has grown rapidly over the last two years and that success is down to the current team.

“We have great plans for the future and are determined to mirror our success in the various other geographical locations we have inherited as part of this merger.

“I would like to thank our clients and candidates for their continued support.”
