Queues formed outside the new Marks & Spencer Foodhall when it opened at Broughton Shopping Park on Wednesday, December 9.

The 9,100 sq ft M&S store opened at 10am creating 53 jobs in the area.

It is at the former BHS shop and will be next to a new Primark store that is opening next year, creating more than 130 jobs.

Olympic medallist and three-time world champion gymnast Beth Tweddle will open a new Aldi store in Broughton today, December 10, at 8am

Centre manager at Broughton Shopping Park Colin Gilligan, said: “We’re coming to the end of an incredibly exciting year for Broughton Shopping Park, with 12 new openings over the last 12 months.

"The new M&S Foodhall has been one of our most eagerly-awaited launches, perfectly timed for stocking up on Christmas food and drink for the festive period.”

The foodhall will provide 5,500 food and drink lines and there will also be a 50-seat Café.

It will open between 8am and 8pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
