THE Secret Spa in Holt has been named as finalists in the national Salon of the Year 2008 competition, dubbed the ‘Oscars of the beauty industry’.
Managed by Rebecca Griffiths, the Secret Spa will be judged against five other finalists from Wales and the South West.
Miss Griffiths, of Farndon, said: “It’s an absolute dream to get so far as the finals. It’s such a massive award, I couldn’t believe it when I got the call to say we were finalists. It really is an absolute dream.
“I want to say a huge thank you to all of the team and to all the customers that have been so supportive over the past eight years.”
Located in the Cross within the picturesque village, the Secret Spa is now situated in a large converted cottage having outgrown its original premises.
Established since 2000, the salon, which offers treatments and holistic therapies, has grown from two members of staff to a team of 10.
The winners of the Wales/South-West Salon of the Year award will be announced at the grand prize ceremony on Sunday September 7 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
