A STUDENT from The College of Law in Chester has won a cash prize for her achievements in property law.
Lauren Murphy, a student and insurance assistant legal adviser at DWF, scored the highest mark in property law and practice. She received £150 prize money from local solicitors, Walker Smith Way, who regularly support the College of Law and, in particular, its Chester centre.
Lauren, from Salford, received the honour at a prize-giving ceremony at the College of Law. She said: “I’m delighted to have been recognised for all the hard work I’ve put in. I would also like to thank the sponsoring law firm Walker Smith Way for their financial support.”
Stephen Lunt, a partner in Walker Smith Way’s commercial property team, presented the prize. He added: “We are delighted to support The College of Law and recognise Lauren’s great achievement. Walker Smith Way is completely committed to making a positive contribution to local education and community initiatives.”
