TO CELEBRATE its 100th year, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has bolstered its support for Business North West 2011 by providing a prestigious keynote speaker for the event.

Chartered marketer Jennie Miller, senior category insight manager at Kellogg’s, will address visitors at the region’s premier business-to-business exhibition on how customer insight has helped the Manchester-based firm with brand extension and product development.

The institute has supported Business North West since its inception, providing free marketing clinics and learnShop presentations, taking place at Manchester Central from May 4-5.

The clinics and learnShop presentations will be delivered by local chartered marketers, enabling delegates to find out how marketing can effectively benefit their business.

Diane Earles, regional director at the CIM, said: “Business North West is a great exhibition because it is the only region-wide event of its kind and I think that is why it attracts such a wide range of visitors.

“It has grown so much since we first got involved and each year we have to bring more and more resources to cope with demand. We’ve introduced the learnShop presentations and brought more chartered marketers to do more one-to-one clinics to mark our centenary year and are looking forward to delivering them at such a high-profile event.”

Matt Benyon, managing director of Business North West organiser easyFairs UK, added: “I am thrilled that the CIM is joining us in their 100th year and that they have marked the occasion by providing such a high calibre keynote speaker.”

Entry to the exhibition is free for visitors. To book a stand or register to attend, visit www.easyfairs. com/businessnorthwest.
