A PROTÉGÉ of the chef Raymond Blanc has opened a corporate catering company in Chester.

Simon Hadley, who trained at the Dorchester and Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Oxfordshire, is behind the Jasper’s Corporate Catering franchise which has opened in the city.

Jasper’s provides hot and cold delivered catering to businesses for lunches, meetings, training courses, conference and other corporate events.

Hadley trained as an apprentice at the Dorchester for three years before moving to Raymond Blanc’s renowned restaurant and cookery school where he worked for three years as commis chef and chef di partie. Simon has also worked as sous chef, taught Italian ladies how to cook pasta in Milan, and worked in food development for Kerry Foods.

He said: “I’ve had a fantastic career in food but I am at the stage of my life now where I want to work for myself. I was drawn to a Jasper’s Corporate Catering franchise because it focuses on providing the best customer possible experience – from the easy to use online ordering system, to the customer guarantee, to the quality of the products. Jasper’s head of food is introducing innovative and delicious new menus and foods and, as a chef by trade, I will be able to put my own stamp on things.

“Working in Michelin-starred kitchens you focus on creating immaculate food for individuals. But whether I am creating a £40 dish for one person or an executive lunch for 100 business people, I want to provide the best possible food and service experience.”
