A NEW delivery service has chosen Ellesmere Port as the location for its latest outlet.

The Myhermes parcel shop has opened at the Wine Cellar on Whitby Road.

The shop is an extension to the current myhermes.co.uk service, which offers delivery that can be ordered online, with items collected direct from the door.

Parcels are typically delivered in two days and are fully tracked for no extra cost.

Jonathan Bennett, head of marketing for myhermes.co.uk, said: “Ellesmere Port is a thriving town, full of busy people who have better things to do than queue at the Post Office during the working day.

“It is also home to a large number of small business who trade online such as eBay Powersellers, Amazon Marketplace sellers and other niche retailers.

“Therefore it was an obvious choice for us to launch here and the feedback from the local community has been great.”

More than 500 Myhermes parcel shops have so far been launched around the UK, with a further 500 locations to be added by the end of the year.

The Myhermes website has been set up by Hermes, the UK’s largest home delivery courier network.
