A MANUFACTURER will begin making car components for Asia’s expanding automotive industry.

Chester-based DTM Legal advised KnitMesh Technologies, headquartered in Greenfield near Holywell, on the formation of Amar KnitMesh Technologies Ltd, a new partnership with the Indian-based Amar Group of Industries.

KnitMesh is the acknowledged technical leader in the design, development and manufacture of innovative knitted wire mesh solutions for an extensive range of industrial applications and environmental conditions throughout the world.

Managing director Lew Bingham said: “We are looking forward to establishing KnitMesh as a preferred supplier within the rapidly developing automotive industry in India”.

Ed Barnes, head of corporate at DTM Legal, said: “The joint venture was very interesting and involved the preparation of a very bespoke set of contracts in conjunction with Indian lawyers.

“It was great to be involved in helping KnitMesh break into one of the world’s most exciting automotive markets and is a good example of the kind of deal our international team is increasingly getting involved in.”

KnitMesh provides solutions for some of industries most challenging technical problems. These include general mesh, vibration control, sound attenuation, industrial and catering cleaning equipment, sealing for harsh environments, the filtering of liquids and gases.
