A MAN who has enjoyed a flourishing career at Grosvenor garden centre has retired after 33 years’ service.

Ged Wilcock, pictured, buyer of green and garden goods, joined Grosvenor in 1983 as outdoor foreman before taking on responsibility for product selection and later took on the role of buyer for outdoor products.

With an eye for quality, Ged’s interest in rose growing in particular has stood him in good stead throughout his career and he has been especially instrumental in creating an award winning planteria at Grosvenor.

“I will not only be leaving behind a job I love, I will also be saying goodbye to many friends,” said Ged.
