A GLOBAL company based in Frodsham is providing a fluid solution for recession hit chemical companies going into liquidation.
Barratt Chemicals, who are based at Frodsham Business Centre, are providing a recycling service for surplus and unwanted chemical stock, saving money and the envrionment.
“With large numbers of UK manufacturing and chemical companies closing down and moving their business to other countries offering cheap labour, there are now a lot of plants and warehouses which have unwanted chemicals to be disposed of,” said managing director Andrew Barratt.
“We can source other customers who can make use of these redundant products within their own operations, thus eliminating the need for waste disposal or landfill costs.
“This means the product is effectively recycled.”
Many of Barratt Chemicals’ customers are based in Asia and the Middle East, but the company also has contacts in the UK and Europe.
The company also repacks the materials to meet the buyer’s requirements at their warehouse in Liverpool.
Simon Longden of Frodsham Business Centre said: “We believe that attracting leading businesses like Barratt Chemicals into the Frodsham area will only help boost the local economy.”
