A BREAKFAST business club has started the new year on the back of an award-winning 2012.

The Grosvenor BNI Chapter, which meets every Tuesday morning at The Oaks Golf Club in Mollington, has been named Chapter of the Month in Cheshire and North Wales for December at the organisation’s regional area directors’ meeting.

It was the fourth time the Chapter won the prestigious award in 2012 and it was given in recognition of the contribution made by its members throughout the month.

At every meeting, each member brings warmed-up business referrals and written testimonials on another member’s business, as well as thanking each other for business completed as a result of previous leads.

And it was the quality and quantity of these contributions that led to the Chapter’s success.

Chapter director Tim Polding said: “We’re delighted we’ve been selected as December’s Chapter of the Month for Cheshire and North Wales.

“All our members have been working tirelessly to proactively find business for each other, and this award is great recognition for that hard work.”

The Chapter passes genuine business opportunities to each other over breakfast every Tuesday and has a mixture of professional and trade businesses.

Each member gets a chance to speak for 60 seconds about their business and ask for introductions to other businesses they’d like to speak to.

Visitors are also welcomed and are invited to tell the room how their business works.

Mr Polding added: “BNI is unquestionably the most-effective way to network your business.

“We spend time getting to know each other and how our businesses work.

“So when we recommend another member for a project, we’re confident they will do an excellent job. It’s invaluable having other people’s expertise in the room which we can call on.”
