Sian Noonan, a former retail student at West Cheshire College, has used the skills she has learnt on her college course to set up a new online shop, Noo’s Boutique (www.noosboutique.co.uk).

After completing an ABC diploma in buying and merchandising, Sian, 30, from Malpas, set up the online retail business which sells quality women’s fashion at affordable prices.

Sian, who has two children, currently runs the online shop from home, which enables her to balance both her work and personal life.

Sian said: “I was never 100 per cent sure what I wanted to do in my career. But as I soon as I started the retail course I knew this was the right career path for me and, when the opportunity came up to start up my own website, I couldn’t resist.

“After studying the course at college, I felt like I gained the right skills and experience to go in to the world of work and it provided me with the confidence to set up my own online business.

“I am excited for the future; I have worked really hard in starting the business and I hope that in a year’s time I will have a successful online boutique.”

Pat Koreman, programme leader for retail at West Cheshire College, said: “Sian was a great student who worked extremely hard throughout her course at the college.

“We are very proud of Sian for setting up Noo’s Boutique and we can’t wait to see the business go from strength to strength in the next couple of years.”
