A HAIR stylist has reached for the skies with style to raise money for a good cause.
Faye Stowell, a staff member at Soul Hair, took part in a sponsored 10,000ft skydive to raise funds for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, with the first 5,000ft in freefall.
Vitina Seminara, co-owner of the Soul Hair branch, said: “Faye was a little nervous on the day, but once the adrenalin kicked in she quite enjoyed the skydive.
“The Hospice of the Good Shepherd is Faye’s chosen charity, and we were happy to help. One of Faye’s relatives spent some time in there.
“We also helped out at Soul Hair by hosting an open evening. We held it to launch our new collection to clients and had champagne and canapes, and a prize draw was held. Money raised from that went in addition to the sponsorship money Faye raised.”
Faye and Soul Hair have raised more than £500 from the fundraisers, beating the £400 target.
Anyone wanting to donate any spare change to help further, can visit Soul Hair on Watergate Street, where there will be a collection tin available.
