THE final chapter of the extensive £3m refurbishment at The Chester Grosvenor and Spa has begun.

The luxury 5-star hotel has announced that the final stage of the refurbishment of its meetings and events facilities is under way.

Coming just four months after the completion of the Westminster Suite this £500,000 finishing touch will see the property’s Venetian and Eaton Rooms closing in early January for a six-week period of complete refurbishment, re-opening on February 15 with a new look.

The dated chandeliers and traditional soft furnishings that were, until recently the key focus of the décor, will be replaced by bespoke contemporary boardroom furniture, including a four-sided triangular boardroom table, with a feature glass wall and the very latest technology incorporated throughout both rooms.

The high ceilings and much-loved huge sash windows will remain, but combined with the modern additional features, will provide a light and airy, up-to-the- minute space for small meetings and gatherings.

The Chester Grosvenor and Spa’s meetings and events facilities now boast the very latest audio-visual equipment and Wi-Fi access for all delegates, in addition to re- volutionary soundproofing technologies.

Commenting on the new development, managing director Jonathan Slater, said: “This state-of-the-art addition to the extensive refurbishment of the hotel’s meeting and events facilities is set to produce an unsurpassed executive boardroom with the very latest technology incorporated throughout.”
