A CHESTER-BASED workspace provider has revealed demand for units has soared by nearly 50%, compared with this time last year.
Evans Easyspace, which has a centre at Minerva Avenue, believes the increased demand for flexible property is good news for Chester businesses looking to expand and budding entrepreneurs.
Figures show new customers taking workspace and the volume of deals done in the first quarter of 2010 have been the highest since early 2008.
Nationally, the same period saw a record number of inquiries received by Evans Easyspace centre managers.
Tracy Backhouse, Evans Easyspace centre manager in Chester, said: “These figures show there is certainly reason for renewed optimism in the property market, especially with the recent change in Government.
“We aim to be as supportive and as flexible as possible to local businesses and entrepreneurs and aim to assist all those looking for space to help bring their business ambitions to life.
“The surge in interest for workspace is great news for Chester and will help businesses in the region to get a firm foot on the ladder following a very challenging business climate.
“We can work with local businesses to take on day-to-day office management duties and provide all the necessary support required to enable them to get on with running their businesses.”
