A CARE centre in Ellesmere Port is to create more than 170 jobs.
Caremark (Cheshire West and Chester) in Station Road provides high quality, home-based care and support for people of all ages, including those with physical and learning disabilities or terminal illnesses.
The recently-launched franchise, which is run by married couple, doctors Ade and Anikphe Oyedeji, currently has 30 staff but they’re estimating that they will require at least another 170 employees, with an immediate need in Ellesmere Port, Neston, Chester, Malpas, Whitchurch and the Wirral.
Dr Ade Oyedeji said: “We provide full training so experience is not critical but being a caring and considerate person is.
“We provide different levels of personal care and support to young and older people designed to enable them to lead independent lifestyles in the comfort of their own homes and within the community.
“Our services include helping with washing and dressing to assist with shopping, preparing light meals and domestic duties.”
The husband and wife team, who are committed Christians, will use funds raised from the business to pay for a new social and creative centre at their headquarters, which was formerly the Platinum Lounge bar.
It will provide care and support for the community and also help develop creative activities such as music and the arts.
Dr Anikphe Oyedeji explained: “Day centres for older people are closing in this area and we will be able to provide new facilities for them here.
“We also plan to open a bistro in the centre to provide nourishing meals at affordable prices.
“But really we want people to come to us and tell us what facilities they would like and we will do our best to provide them in the new creation centre.”
Caremark is a national organisation which cares for thousands of people across the UK.
