A HIGH-FLYING businessman from Ellesmere Port has expanded his already successful company.

As director of Signworld, the region’s largest signage company, John Biggins, 35, is already used to working with huge brands such as Airbus and Money Supermarket.

And now he’s adding more strings to his bow with the launch of Nationwide Electrical, a maintenance and electrical installation business.

It is a new division of the Signworld Group of companies, which is based in Chester and specialise in high street retail signage.

Nationwide Electrical will focus on domestic and commercial electrical installations and maintenance, ranging from factory installations to landlord contracts.

It marks a positive step for the Signworld Group, which comprises of Signworld, Signworld Media, Sign Maintenance UK, Embroidaworld, Wrap My Motor and Exhibition Signs and Displays.

Founded in 1996 by managing director Allan Stephenson, Signworld employs 20 staff and is considered one of the North West’s leaders in its industry.

John, a former Ellesmere Port Catholic High School student, said: “Nationwide Electrical is a natural development for us; for a number of years we have travelled all over the UK installing and maintaining various types of illuminated signage.

“This naturally means that our team have to be electrically competent and, in order to meet the requirements of our Safe Contractor standard, we hold a NAPIT certification – ensuring peace of mind for our clients, more importantly.”

He added: “Our aim is to provide a cost-effective, honest and reliable service within the North West area, and to work the business alongside our other services nationwide.”
