A CHESHIRE businessman has set his sights on preventing local businesses falling foul of ever tightening health and safety rules.
John Cosgrove is providing consultancy, training and hygiene solutions to restaurants, pubs, and hotels in Chester and the surrounding area and North Wales.
John has invested in a franchise with Chemex – one of Europe’s leading suppliers of cleaning and hygiene products.
He will be offering a tailor-made service to the area’s restaurants, hotels and pubs ensuring they take advantage of the latest kitchen hygiene products and don’t fall foul of health and safety laws.
“By giving my customers practical advice on problem areas in the kitchen and serving areas, I can help to give them peace of mind,” said John, who has based the business in Kelsall.
“I can take the headache out of the compliance procedures so that they can concentrate on running their business and looking after their customers.
“It is that confidence within today’s maze of ever-tightening regulations for food production that is valued by customers, whether they are a chef in a burger bar or a superchef in a Michelin-starred restaurant.”
With nearly 20 years’ experience as a director of a family business, John knows the importance of customer service.
“We can take care of everything from stock control to advice on health and safety matters as well as providing COSHH training for their staff.
“The quality of the products is first-rate, they are market leaders – tried and tested,” said John, who plans to expand the business to a multi-van franchise and provide his consultancy service to nursing homes in the area.
“I can help nursing homes in the never-ending battle of infection control, tackling cross-contamination and offering solutions that will deal with an infection outbreak, without the need for a complete shutdown.”
“We have more than 600 products available, many of which have been specifically developed and updated as part of the Chemex Hygiene Control programme to satisfy the changing food hygiene legislation. You can’t buy them in the supermarket and they are incredibly powerful and effective.”
Melvin Lusty, managing director for Chemex, added: “John is an extremely positive addition to the network and I am delighted that he made the decision to join us.”
