WE’VE all heard about ‘ladies who lunch’. Now the men are getting a look in.
The Chester Grosvenor is launching Afternoon Tea for Gentlemen where hearty fare, strong tea and male company are on the menu.
The Arkle Bar and Lounge will host discerning menfolk keen to enjoy afternoon tea, including doorstep sandwiches and chunky chips, with a distinctive masculine slant for £21.50 per person.
A selection of newspapers will be available for chaps to peruse while relaxing in five-star comfort and a backgammon set will be available for gentlemen with a competitive streak.
Restaurant manager, Mark Bevan, said: “The Chester Grosvenor’s afternoon tea is a firm favourite with groups of female friends and daughters who treat their mums. But we think there’s a definite appetite for an afternoon tea tailored to our male customers too, so we’ve let the men muscle in on this hotel favourite.”
