A Chester-based entrepreneur has launched a website for every cyclist’s needs.

Ex nuclear engineer and bike enthusiast David George founded Bikmo, a one-stop online shop for bikes and equipment, following an idea with a friend after their own frustrations in searching for cycling equipment.

David said: “We used to spend hours scouring the web for information on equipment, the best prices, reviews and video.

“There had to be another way, so we laid down what would be our ultimate cycling website. It’s taken two years of hard work, blood, sweat and tears and I’m excited to launch Bikmo so cyclists can spend less time finding kit and more time riding.”

Visitors to Bikmo can build their own virtual ‘bikeshed’, setting price alerts on any bikes or kit and can create wish list ‘shelves’ to share through social media channels with their partner, friends or family. Bikmo’s huge product range includes road, mountain and commuting bikes and all supporting equipment from tyres to turbo trainers.

The free online resource enables visitors to search and compare prices on a huge range of bikes and cycling equipment from the UK’s leading online and local retailers.
