CHESHIRE-BASED public relations firm Polaris Media has won a raft of new business.
The business specialist PR firm run by journalist brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington – who live in Tarporley – was launched in August following the management division of well known Merseyside PR firm Artemis Media.
Ellesmere Port-based Polaris managing director Ben Pinnington said the firm has expanded its foreign owned firms portfolio by signing a new deal with Salford-based manufacturer Conductix-Wampfler owned by the €£800m turnover French company Delachaux.
Conductix-Wampfler is looking to Polaris to raise its profile in regional and trade media to increase awareness of its energy and data transmission systems particularly in the ports, rail, mining and factory automation sectors.
Polaris has further extended its marine clients after winning a pitch with Mersey Maritime to support the promotion of Birkenhead based engineering product supplier GCI Marine’s new £100,000 trade counter.
Polaris will also deploy its extensive experience of lobby group PR to Downtown Liverpool in Business’s ‘It’s Liverpool’ business conference in November.
The conference is aiming to set out how Merseyside can supercharge its private sector economy through a range of measures including a business focused elected mayor.
“It is terrific to hit the ground running with these fantastic new client wins,” he said.
“We are a private business specialist PR firm so all three of the new clients are a good fit for us. We look forward to driving high profile campaigns for them. By communicating effectively and powerfully through the media all our clients can reach a mass audience building their profile and driving greater awareness of who they are and what they do – helping attract those all important business leads.”
Polaris PR director Sam Pinnington, who is leading the firm’s business development campaign, said Polaris has an aggressive strategy and is already talking with 50 new business leads.
“We are ambitious for ourselves and our clients,” he said. “We are hungry to grow and help our clients grow. It is fundamental to our outlook that we offer a trading floor mentality to clients. As entrepreneurs we see it as vital to create opportunities by introducing our clients and contacts to each other. This approach is already helping a number of our clients win business.”
Polaris – based in Pioneer House, Ellesmere Port – works for a broad range of other retained clients including the CBI North West, Cammell Laird, Bury based Swedish manufacturer Roxtec and Mitchell Charlesworth accountants.
