THE constructors behind the flagship M&S store in Cheshire Oaks have returned to donate more than £2,000 to charities in Ellesmere Port.

Simons Group came back on Thursday, March 21, to hand over the money to local charities.

Developments director Chris Newsome handed over three cheques to three local charities: EPC Gymnastics, Golden Start ABC Sports & Fitness Centre and Oasis Centre for Young People.

He initiated a charity bike ride in September to celebrate the opening of the store after seven years of work on the project.

The cyclists – Chris Newsome of Simons Group, James Rayner and Rob Morray from M&S and Richard Woodford of How Planning – covered more than 450 miles, from the biggest and greenest M&S at Cheshire Oaks to the M&S store in Paris last year and have spent the following months raising money for the charities with the help of the M&S Cheshire Oaks store team.
