A CHESHIRE hotel is seeking votes to help it win another top golf award after being nominated for a second year in the Today’s Golfer Travel Awards.

Carden Park, near Chester, has been shortlisted for the title of Best Golf Resort/Hotel in the North of England, a category it triumphed in last year.

Voted for by golfers, the awards recognise the favourite golfing locations in the UK and abroad.

Last year’s inaugural awards, in association with golf travel operator Your Golf Travel, saw thousands of votes cast.

Carden Park is hoping to gain a similar level of support again this year.

Karen Proctor, golf business manager at Carden Park, said: “It was a fantastic achievement to win at last year’s inaugural awards and we are delighted to have been nominated once again. It means even more that the awards are voted for by the general golfing public.

“We really hope anyone who has enjoyed a round of golf here over the last year will take a few minutes to go online and vote for us.

“We pride ourselves on our high standard of facilities here at Carden Park as well as the overall golfing experience we offer to members and visitors.

“We are extremely fortunate to have such an outstanding setting for our two championship golf courses as we’re surrounded by 1,000 acres of Cheshire countryside.”

Carden Park has two championship courses – The Nicklaus Course and the Cheshire Course – and a driving range with 13 covered and eight uncovered bays.

Head professional Steve Priest and his Total Golf Performance team are based on site and can offer training to both beginners and experienced golfers.

To vote in the awards, visit www.todaysgolfer.co.uk. One lucky winner will receive a golf break prize. Voting closes on November 30 and winners will be announced in the new year.
