TWO experts have joined forces to breathe new life into a firm which offers busy companies across North Wales and Cheshire a helping hand.
Susan Miller and Sarah Rugg are the brains behind virtual assistant (VA) company Vi-VA, which offers admin support, social media solutions and specialist business services to firms across the UK.
Vi-VA also offers its services to individuals as well as companies.
Susan, whose background is in marketing, works from her home near Hope.
She said: “Sarah, who lives in Chester, started her company as a sole trader about five years ago.
“Her nan had become unwell and she had to give up her job to care for her. That is where the idea of providing a service to help others came about.
“It started as a lifestyle management company and has evolved into much more.
“I met Sarah in January and we decided that with my marketing skills we could form a partnership and take the company to a new level.”
Vi-VA’s online manifesto says the company aims to help firms concentrate on their core activities and see increased business opportunities while reducing their overheads by outsourcing work.
It adds: “A good VA is someone you can rely on, who treats your business as their own and is a trusted partner in your success.”
Susan said Vi-VA, which has a ‘small but close-knit team’, helps fill in any gaps businesses might not be strong in.
“Some people like myself might be strong in marketing, writing and proof-reading, but may not know so much about accounting and book-keeping,” said Susan.
“We can provide help for areas where they need it.
“We do a lot of social media and can help set that up for people or teach them, as they are aware how important that is nowadays but might not know how to use it.”
