A BUNBURY woman is bringing her business skills from Oz to rural Cheshire and creating a community directory of commerce.

Sue Worley, aged 60 of School Lane, who has recently returned from Australia is setting up a Tarporley Directory of Commerce, known as TarDoc, which will cover businesses within a five mile radius of the village.

The aim of the directory is to promote and increase business turn over, and provide information for local people and visitors to the area about what facilities and opportunities are available in Tarporley and the surrounding district.

The directory will be distributed throughout the area to businesses and private residences.

Sue worked on a similar project in Australia, which was very successful.

She said: “What I have noticed here is that there is no one place you can go for local phone numbers. Because of where Tarporley is situated, numbers for this area are in different directories some in South Cheshire, others in Chester. This directory will have all the local numbers in it.”

Sue is offering all businesses a free two-line entry in the directory, but there is also the opportunity to take out bigger adverts.
