BOOTS employees at Foregate Street store in Chester have beaten off stiff competition to be crowned No7 Consultant Team of the Year and win a prize of £3,000.

Competing against No7 teams across the UK and Ireland, Zana Davies, Kate Hayden, Elysia Davies, Laura Hall, Fiona Dransfield, Janice Hughes and Joanne McSetridge were chosen by the judges for their passion, mutual trust and complete understanding of the No7 business.

The team members have collectively been working for Boots for almost 40 years and wowed the judges at all three stages of the competition, which is running in its fourth year.

The No7 consultants were given an opportunity to demonstrate their selling skills with a mystery shopper. As high scorers in the first round, the girls were then invited to a regional final to undertake a number of team tasks.

Breezing through the first two stages, the No7 Chester team was invited to compete in the exciting grand final at Belton Woods, Grantham, where they undertook practical tasks.

They had to apply a purple make-up look with Lisa Eldridge (No7 creative director) observing, brainstorm business issues and be interviewed individually about how the business’ success is driven through great teamwork.

The Chester ‘Beauty Queens’ scored highly across all categories to be crowned ‘No7 Consultant Team of the Year’ and walked away with a £3,000 joint prize for their efforts.

Joanne McSetridge, No7 account manager of the Chester team, said: “Absolutely fantastic, it has been the best week of our lives and an experience we will never forget. It was so unexpected but winning the award has given us a massive boost.”

Jill Nowak, Boots training manager, added: “This competition is a wonderful opportunity to recognise truly great workers within the No7 team. Zana Davies, Kate Hayden, Elysia Davies, Laura Hall, Fiona Dransfield, Janice Hughes and Joanne McSetridge displayed all the qualities of star consultants and deserved to be rewarded for their passion, enthusiasm and hard work. We’re very proud of them.”
