DIGITAL agency Blueleaf has developed a website and accompanying marketing to help launch a new player in the energy industry.

Co-operative Energy (part of the national Co-operative brand) is setting out to rival the ‘big six’ by offering a single tariff and purchasing electricity from low carbon sources. Co-operative Energy is owned by its customers, who will each receive a share of the profits.

Blueleaf won the project after a three-way pitch. The agency worked with Co-operative Energy to create a website, comparison engine and account login system. The website also integrates with the client’s existing backend systems.

Rob Smith, digital director at Blueleaf, said: “It’s great to be working for a company with such strong values and solid reputation with their customers.”

“The website has been designed and built with the end user in mind, making it easy for customers to compare their existing supplier with Co-operative Energy and clearly explaining what will happen when customers make the switch.”

Blueleaf are also helping Co-operative Energy with their marketing including web banners, email campaigns, direct mail, in-store promotions, event stands and giveaways.
