COFFEE drinkers at Chester’s Caffé Nero have been enjoying a taste of culture thanks to the work of talented local art students.

The students from West Cheshire College have been creating a stir at the coffee chain’s Eastgate Street shop with a three-week exhibition entitled ‘The Next Generation’.

The exhibition has been put together by students on the First Diploma Art and Design course and the Introductory Diploma in Art, Design and Media course to help them gain experience of exhibiting their work in public.

Ian Prewitt, Art and Design tutor at West Cheshire College, said: “The event has been organised by students to help provide them with an opportunity of participating in a public exhibition.

Jon Newman, shop manager at Caffé Nero, said: “We are delighted to again team up with West Cheshire College to help showcase the work of local art students.

The Caffé Nero Art Exhibition is now showing and will run for three-weeks until the 20 March.
