BEEF burgers and immaculate business suits do not normally go together but if they’re the best burgers in Britain and they’re on sale in your own garden centre, they deserve an aristocratic accolade.
The award-winning burgers, produced by Andrew Jackson at Gate Farm, Poole near Nantwich, are available from the newly-expanded food department at the Grosvenor Garden Centre on the Duke of Westminster’s estate at Eccleston.
Their fame attracted His Grace to make the short trip from his nearby ancestral home at Eaton Hall to sample them for himself.
With no cutlery, or even a plate in sight, the ducal molars quickly got to work on the delicious bun, complete with its appetising onions.
Smiles all round suggested approval, with the duke accepting a donation from the tasting destined for a charity of his choice.
